The first thing you need to do is to apply for a tag. In Nevada, tags are acquired through a drawing system that begins with the Main Draw Application Period from March 25 to May 8.

Nevada General Hunting Regulations
The state set some rules for hunters and everyone should acknowledge the regulations about hunting methods, licenses, and legal actions for big game and small game hunting:
- Hunter Education: If you were born after January 1, 1960, you must complete a Hunter Education course and show proof to buy a Nevada hunting license.
