I really like the quality of this boot! It’s sturdy, waterproof and lightweight, with a super thick tread which keeps you sure-footed even when walking through mud or slushy snow. The neoprene is flexible enough for tucking in your pants leg, there is also a built in heel kick which makes the boot extremely easy to remove without having to use your hands. I especially like that it has an insulated lining which will keep keep feet warm in temps as low as -20F which is perfect for my region. Plus, it’s also very attractive and distinctive from other irrigation boots with its plaid pattern and the purple highlights. My only critique is that the boot does run a little small. I ordered my exact size which does fit to a tee but does not allow room for thick winter socks for those days when the temps are really cold. In retrospect, I should have ordered the next size up.
These boots fit well and seem sturdy. They do fit a bit snug. If you are planning to wear wool socks in them, or you have large(r) ankles, you may want to size up.Even when I just wear regular socks, they keep my feet warm. We just had a winter storm and yesterday I was out in the slush helping my husband clear the driveway for almost 2 hours; my feet stayed warm and dry in these boots.
Warm. Comfortable. High Quality Boots with high quality materials used. Great value for money paid. Just the right weight for the boots. Noce color and design.
These are nice heavy duty boots. Made of thick rubber these boots seem pretty durable. They are heavier than the regular rubber barn boots I usually buy. The soles have some good traction and should make it a bit easier to walk in the mud without slipping. The tab on the back of the heel helps with toeing these boots off. That said, here are the few drawbacks I found for me personally. Because of the thick rigid rubber there is no give in these boots. I normally wear an 8.5 women’s shoe and wished I had gone a size bigger than the 9 I ordered. I would have been happier with a 10 which would have given me more room. With the 9, I have to wear a thin sock. The shaft of the boot is also tight on my calf. The opening on the 9 is 15.5 inches and my calf is about 17. The neoprene does stretch some, but not enough to accommodate my leg comfortably. Because the shaft is neoprene, I am able to fold it down a couple of inches to a comfortable position making the boots wearable. Overall, I like these boots. With a little more thought on my part to the sizing (bigger is better) and I had chosen a bigger size, I would give these 5 stars.
From my wife:Love , love, love these boots! I’m a 9.5 but got the 10 and they fit fine. I’ll be wearing socks most of the time, but they are soft without socks, too. I have neuropathy and they are comfortable. Warm so far. I’ll come back and let you know how it goes when it’s ZERO. GREAT boots!
