This long and flat canvas bag can hold about 4 disassembled 2-piece fishing poles, along with several shallow tackle boxes. The shoulder straps that make it into a backpack zip into pouches on the back of the case. It has a strap to carry it horizontally by hand, or you can use the backpack straps if you want to carry it vertically. The backpack straps are padded for comfort when you are carrying it that way. The zippers have plastic teeth but seem strong. The zipper pulls are metal and they have small loops in them so you can keep them from unzipping by fastening them together with a twist tie, or you can hook them together with a small luggage padlock. This bag is not showy. It does have lots of pockets and will be versatile for whatever long and flat you would like to carry.
This review is for the 36¡±. Great for sporting rifles. Overall outer material is thick but not stiff. Very well padded. Pockets galore. The three front pockets are huge and zipper shut. On top of these pockets are more pockets with Velcro. Two of them open wide from top. The front forward pockets opens from the side. There¡¯s also a huge section behind for targets and maps. On the back side is where the straps are located. I would like the ability to close this pocket when the shoulder straps are deployed. When the kit is fully loaded. It holds it shape well. Depends by non the overall weight and how full it is. It is slightly uncomfortable to wear on your back. The anchoring for the straps are for more narrow bodied people. Overall for the price and quality. This is a very nice kit bag.
This case has all of the room you need if you have a shorter long rifle. I use it for my Draco and it fits perfect even with a brace attached and the outer pockets provide plenty of room for mags and ear plugs. The case is very well made with solid seams and handles and the zipper is smooth all of the way around, the fabric feels very heavy duty and some mud that got on it from the back of my truck simply wiped off easily.
When you realize that the number of long guns is growing, you have to have enough bags to transport them all. This is a good one to get, which can hold 2 at once. Perfect for both AR and AK. (The guns, not the states). Then when you realize you just bought more guns, you need even more bags. Rinse and repeat.
This is a rugged bag with lots of padding to protect its contents – including the padded divider in the main compartment. Can be carried like a suitcase or a backpack. The shoulder straps zip into their own compartment when not in use (great feature). Two separate sidearm slots in a separate zippered compartment. Tons of outer pocket storage space – each outer pocket has both a zippered space and a separate pouch with a Velcro flap, though I would have preferred clips for the pouch flaps to ensure the contents were secured – especially when carrying it vertically in backpack mode.You can tell that experience and thought were behind this design. And the price value is great compared to similar products. Very happy with this case.
